About Emergency Aid

At Emergency Aid we believe nothing can substitute live interactive learning; it is the prime way of gaining the optimum amount of knowledge.The training we provide is mainly a practical hands-on approach combined with theory and use of modern technology, which will equip delegates to master the techniques/knowledge easily. Once the training is completed by the delegates, they then will have the confidence to immediately apply the skills they have learnt safely.

Mr Somuz Miah

Our lead trainer is Consultant Mr Somuz Miah, a Nuco registered advanced first aid instructor and podiatrist prescriber.

He is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons Glasgow. He also has more than 12 years experience in teaching/training with qualifications ‘Certificate Teaching Skill EBM’ (Evidence Based Medicine), as well as IOCP`s award for `Outstanding Contribution Towards Education`.

Short Bio: Bachelor of Science Degree in Podiatric Medicine, PGCert Independent Prescribing, Level 3 Award in Education & Training, Certificate IQA & First Aid Assessor, Certificate Teaching Skill EBM, Safeguarding Children & Adults Level 3, Approved Advanced First Aid Instructor.

Mr Martin Harvey

Martin is the Chair of the Executive Council of the IOCP (The Institute of Chiropodists and Podiatrists), a role he combines with his duties with his busy Hospital and Primary care clinics and teaching roles.

His postgraduate qualifications include dermatological surgery skills, advanced local anaesthesia and supplementary and independent prescribing. In addition to his clinical work he teaches joint and soft tissue injection procedures to graduate podiatrists and additionally lectures in the UK and abroad on these and other subjects.
